Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-05-28. By using diagramming.dev (the "Service") you agree to these terms.
Who can use the Service
You need a GitHub account to sign in. You must be at least 13 years old. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms on its behalf.
Your account
Keep your GitHub account secure. Anything done through the Service from your signed-in session is treated as done by you. Let us know promptly if your account is compromised.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, to host content you do not have the right to use, to send unsolicited bulk email through the share-link invite feature, to probe or attack the Service or its dependencies, or to attempt to bypass the rate limits and authentication controls. We may suspend or terminate access if you do.
Your content
You retain ownership of the diagrams you create. You grant us the limited technical license required to host, transmit, render, and back up your diagrams so we can provide the Service to you and the people you choose to share with. When you commit a diagram back to GitHub, the terms of that repository apply to that copy.
Share links and grants
When you create a share link, anyone who receives the link and (where applicable) signs in can act on your diagram at the permission you chose. You are responsible for who you share links with. You can revoke a share link or an individual membership at any time from the share modal.
Agent tokens
Agent tokens you mint give whatever AI agent holds them the diagram-scoped permissions you granted, until you revoke the token or it expires. Treat them like API credentials.
Open source
The diagramming source is licensed under the MIT License. The Service hosted at diagramming.dev is operated by the project maintainers; nothing in this section changes the terms of the source license itself.
Availability and changes
The Service is provided on a best-effort basis without uptime guarantees. We may add, modify, or remove features and we may pause or end the hosted Service. We will give reasonable notice for material changes through the Service or via the email associated with your GitHub account.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access if you breach these terms or if continuing service to you would expose us to legal risk. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, but our Privacy Policy continues to govern data we retain during the deletion window.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maintainers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data arising from your use of the Service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that we cannot resolve informally will be brought in courts of competent jurisdiction in the maintainer's primary residence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms over time. We will note material changes here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after the change means you accept the updated terms.
